I don’t think I’ve ever done something so hard as being a mom in my entire life, to be quite honest. It can be a truly wonderful experience, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world entire universe, but some days… Some days you just need to remind yourself of a few things. Such as these.

You know, there is only one good reason to let a dream die, and that is if that dream is blocking an even bigger one, waiting to be born.

I think that’s where I am in my life right now.

As you may be well aware of, it’s futile to plant anything in barren earth, and your seeds of desires may be suffocated by too many weeds competing for nutrition. I did that on New Year’s Eve, I think, and while most of my resolutions and plans and dreams and notebooks seem to go the way of the Dodo, this one is still standing strong. In fact, I’m still adding to it. So let me tell you more about it!

When you read this, I will be on a cabin trip to my childhood’s paradise. My grandparents have allowed us to borrow their cabin for the weekend, and it will be my daughter’s very first experience with sleeping with the forest and the mountains just outside the window, with no street lights or cars, and I’m so excited!!!
